Gabe Batstone – Co-Founder & Chairman
Gabe co-founded Teagan’s Voice following the murder of his 8-year-old daughter, Teagan. Gabe is currently the CEO of contextere and has over two decades of experience working in the aerospace & defence, energy and automotive industries with a proven ability to guide companies through the emerging growth phase of development.
Gabe holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts, specializing in Geographic Information Systems, from Ryerson University in Toronto, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Baltimore. Gabe is a frequent public speaker, published writer and has completed postgraduate studies at the United Nations Institute for Training & Research, University of Chicago and Harvard Law School.
Gabe also serves on the Board of Directors for the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC) and the Canadian American Business Council (CABC), where he currently acts as Treasurer.
Stephanie Batstone – Co-Founder & Executive Director
Stephanie co-founded Teagan’s Voice with her husband Gabe following the murder of her 8-year-old step-daughter, Teagan. Stephanie is currently a managing partner at NyRAD Inc. In the past, Stephanie has worked within Canada’s federal public service as a Deputy Director of Canada’s defence offset policy.
Stephanie has over 15 years experience across several federal government departments in operations, policy, business development and management substantiated by a proven track record in process improvement, change management, stakeholder engagement, and policy leadership.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honors) in Economics from the University of Ottawa and served on the Board of Directors of Women in Defence and Security (WiDS).
Stephanie currently resides in Ottawa, with her husband Gabe and two young sons.
Alison Sargent – Vice Chair, Board of Directors
Alison is currently the Executive Director of a privately funded, not-for-profit health research foundation. For over a decade Alison has provided extensive strategic and management consulting to the non-profit sector building significant expertise in political advocacy, board governance, fundraising, event planning, stakeholder engagement and financial management.
As an Ivy League graduate, Alison holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University as well as the professional designation of Canadian Human Resources Leader (CHRL).
Alison is passionate about the health and safety of children given her experience raising her three-year-old daughter with a rare disease (PKU).
